AlessAlicia
Aleksandra Dziadzio (b. 2001, Kraków, Poland)
creates deeply emotional oil paintings where surreal spaces and rich symbolism merge with the raw, intuitive energy of expressionism. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, her artistic practice seamlessly bridges precise structural composition with intuitive, expressive storytelling.
Diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorder, AlessAlicia approaches painting as a vital form of therapy and advocacy. She challenges the contemporary stigma surrounding mental health care by transforming vulnerability into spaces of profound comfort and mutual understanding. Her creative process integrates digital experimentation with traditional oil painting; she designs complex compositions digitally before translating and intuitively adapting them onto canvas, allowing spontaneous brushstrokes to breathe life into her surreal motifs.
Her ever-evolving style is fueled by experimentation and a love for music. Every detail is crafted to captivate the viewer, inviting them on a journey of discovery where each look uncovers something new. Through this process, she has developed her own visual language - an invitation for others to explore the layers of meaning behind each symbol.
Her goal is simple: to make art that speaks when words aren’t enough, and to give people a moment of comfort, while also fighting her own battle.
